Our school is a member of Artsonia.com, the largest online student art museum.  Artsonia showcases artwork from thousands of schools around the world.  Artsonia's goals are to develop students' pride and self-esteem, increase their multicultural understanding through art and involve parents and relatives in student education and accomplishments.

One of the most exciting features about being published on Artsonia's art museum is that friends and family can leave a nice comment for the artist and become a fan club member of the artist.

Please visit the Kindergarten Center's art museum at www.artsonia.com and show your support!

Barbers Hill Kindergarten Center Mentor Program
At the Kindergarten Center, we strive for each child to have a successful introduction into the academic world. To insure this success, we offer the Mentor Program. This program is open to all Kindergarten students. The program matches volunteers from the community with students. The mentor has two students (1/2 hour each) once a week. The mentor acts as a model, tutor, friend, coach and guide. The mentor takes personal interest in the growth and development of the child. Mentors are very helpful working with students who are having trouble adjusting to the school environment, lost a loved one to death or divorce, are experiencing the stress of sickness or other problems in the home, are extremely shy, or are experiencing academic difficulties. If you are interested in being a mentor, or have a child you think might benefit from this program, please click on the following link: http://www.bhisd.net/Administration/Curriculum/Mentors/MentorProgram.aspx

Every General Mills box top you clip and turn in earns our school ten cents. Box tops do not need to be trimmed, but they do need to have a visible, valid expiration date. Visit the Box Tops website to read more.
